Studio/Design Assistant.

Contract

Greater Toronto Area Resident

 

Job Description:

The Studio/Design Assistant is responsible for assisting our Team in all aspects of the business, not

 just design. Design Ast will work closely with the Studio Principal on accomplishing day-to-day tasks.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience within field

* One year of professional landscape design experience demonstrating excellence and implementation

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

* AutoCAD, Rhino or other modeling software is a plus.

* Knowledge of plants, materials, finishes, + color

* Presentation skills to communicate Forè design narrative

* Good natured, professional, and cooperative

* Organized, fast learner, eager, committed, responsible

* Display strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity

* Remain positive and open, react calmly and effective in high stressed situations

Functions:

* Support the team in all design areas, Concept, Design Development, Documentation & Administration and Purchasing.

* Understand the project scope and push forward work that is needed by problem solving possible conflicts.

* Communicate any problems to the Studio Coordinator and alert them when a deadline might not

be met ahead of time.

* Research and develop design and produce solutions to be presented for consideration to the team while keeping faithful to the Studio's design intent and direction.

* Collaborate and coordinate seamlessly with the design team, suppliers, consultants, and other third
parties.

* Tracking, ordering, and processing purchase orders for multiple projects. Serve as a contact with suppliers, consultants, and other third parties as needed.

* Keep clear and accessible records of correspondence and meetings.

* Fulfill and carry out day to day activities and other duties to be assigned by Studio Coordinator and Studio Principal.

* Meeting with team to review assignments, changes to projects, and other information pertinent to job performance

 Landscape Designer - Jr. or Senior

Contract

Greater Toronto Area Resident

 

Job Description:

The Designer will support the Design Principal and report to the Studio Coordinator on multiple projects. They are creative, self-motivated, capable and excited to work within a fast-paced, solution-oriented design environment.

 

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in architecture, landscape I architecture, or related field

* 2-4 years minimum professional experience

* Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite

* Ability to collaborate comfortably with new and existing clients

* Strong Graphic Presentation Skills

 

Functions:

* Support the team in all areas of landscape design: Concept, Design Development, Construction & Documentation

* Produce renderings/ illustrations, layouts, and graphic presentations

* Work closely with teams to help produce and coordinate detailed project drawings

* Meet with the Design Principal + Project Coordinator to review assignments, changes in project, and other information pertinent to the job performance.

* Serve as a contact with suppliers, consultants, and other third parties

* Keep clear and accessible records of correspondence and meetings

* Use technical manuals to ensure required codes and standards are met.

* Research and develop design and produce solutions to be presented for consideration to the team while keeping faithful to the design intent and direction of the Studio.

* Other duties to be assigned by the Studio & Coordinator
